Murphy Elliott’s Prayer Card for the Troops

I discovered Murphy Elliott through Fine Art America and the idrawandpaint social network. Great portrait artist, and I love this particular piece he did. Apparently The Catholic Church organization has chosen to give a copy of this prayer card to all members of the military shipped over seas. Congratulations, Murphy!

July 4th Caricatures!

I had a BLAST drawing caricatures in Strongsville for a private July 4th celebration party. Here are a few of my favorite sketches!

Recovering Portrait Passions

PortraitI am thrilled to have the opportunity to show a piece in a staff gallery show for Building Bridges, the nonprofit organization I’m doing part time work for lately. Simply getting out the paints just to touch up the edges of the painting to make it better for display made me feel so happy! I still have paint on my arm – wearing it proudly!
The opening reception for the show is this Friday from 6-9 pm (July 17). I’m getting a sitter just to be there and show my support, and to enjoy seeing my piece in a show after all these years. I really feel lilke something has awakened in me, just going through my old portrait pieces. I still love them after all these years – and they were done in Cintron’s Portrait Painting class when I attended CIA.
